In what might be better termed as “The Mandela Effect: 80s/90s Edition,” Netflix dropped a trailer for a new show that will premiere on December 10, 2021–Saturday Morning All Star Hits! In a bizarre mashup of parody, animation, and live-action, this new show seems to not only parody the classics of 1980s and 90s Saturday morning cartoons, but also has a bit of a murder mystery. Considering the closest thing I ever had to a murder mystery on Saturday morning was an episode of Scooby-Doo, I must admit that I’m intrigued.
Sound weird enough to you? Check out the trailer for Saturday Morning All Star Hits to see what I’m talking about!
Saturday Morning All Star Hits! stars Saturday Night Live’s Kyle Mooney as both hosts of a fictional TV show–Skip and Treybor. With some serious comedy chops powering this parody, nostalgia addicts are going to have another Netflix show to scratch that retro itch while waiting for Stranger Things to return.
There’s not a lot of information available on the show, aside from a sparse IMDB page and the trailer, but you won’t have to wait more than a week to get the full scoop for yourself.
